If you aren't a surfer, Cerritos Beach is also a great spot to be a spectator. When there are huge waves it's fun just to have a beer at the Beach Club and watch the surfers. The Pacific is a few degrees cooler than in Cabo. Remember to pack a sweatshirt! Cerritos Beach is a sandy bottom beach. It is great for all ages. If you are wanting to learn how to surf, this is the place. There are several stands on the beach where you can rent surfboards, boogie boards or have a surf lesson. They even rent wetsuits because the water can sometimes be a little cold. You can also get a massage on the beach. On Sundays there is usually a band at the Cerritos Beach Club. The Beach Club is a bar/restaurant and they also have lounge chairs and umbrellas. There are lifeguards at this beach. If you have rented the smallest car possibly, don't worry because you do not need 4 wheel drive to get to this beach. Don't pay to park. There is free parking (follow directions below).
Driving Directions to Cerritos Beach:
When leaving Cabo, take the highway towards Todos Santos. Follow this 4 lane highway for about 45 minutes. After KM 67, you are going to take a left onto a dirt road. Look for the signs (shown in picture below) to Cerritos Beach. Follow dirt road until you are able to make a right. Take a right and follow signs to Cerritos Beach. After you pass Costa Azul Surf Shop you will see a road that leads to the beach where people are parking. Park in this spot. It's public parking and it's free. If you follow signs into Cerritos Beach Club you will be charged 100 pesos to park.
