Sporti-K offers a 6 week camp for kids. The camp does not start until after the locals have gotten out of school for summer break. It is usually the second week in July. All kids are separated into age groups. You can choose for your kids to go one day, one week or all 6 weeks. You can drop off your kids between 8am-9am and pick up between 1pm-2pm. Camps are in session Monday thru Friday. It is relatively inexpensive compared to camps in the United States.
Sporti-K has an indoor lap pool where children are taught swim lessons as well as play water polo. The younger children are given kickboards and noodles to use. They also have platforms for the young kids to stand on. Sporti-K has instructors that teach the children different strokes. They also teach the children how to dive from the platform. There is a room upstairs where the kids make crafts daily. They also get the kids active by stretching, yoga and karate.
All kids are asked to bring swim caps and goggles. They do not allow kids in their pool without a swim cap. Also, they ask girls to wear a one-piece swimsuit. I usually give my kids a bookbag to take with their swimsuit, towel, goggles, swimcap and lunch.
Sporti-K is a great place for your children to meet local kids and make new friends. Some of the kids are bilingual. They are always willing to translate for my kids since they only speak English.
