If you are an experienced surfer and don't mind a challenge, Monuments Beach is the place for you. There are rocks and sea urchins everywhere so bring your booties. This beach is predominantly surfed by the locals. There are no surfboards for rent at this beach so you must bring your own.
If you are looking to snorkel, there is a pristine beach on the other side of Misiones. There are 9 palapas to keep you cool and shaded. This beach is swimmable and perfect for feeding the fish. If you take crackers and sprinkle them in the water, the fish will swim around you. No need for snorkeling gear, the water is crystal clear. This beach is perfect for searching for sea glass.
If you are looking to party in Cabo San Lucas, you can catch a cab from Misiones Del Cabo for about $20 USD or you can walk to the top of the hill and catch the local bus for about 20 pesos. I recommend renting a car if you stay at this resort. There is a lot to see and do in Cabo and it's always nice to have your own means of transportation. Also, you will either be cooking in your condo or going out to eat and will need a car.
The swim-up pool bar does serve food and drinks that are fairly inexpensive. They serve fish tacos, shrimp tacos, hamburgers and salads. On Wednesday nights they have a "Mexican Night " and on Friday nights they have "Fish Night." There are 2 restaurants located within walking distance from Misiones also.
If you are looking for fresh seafood to cook, a family from La Paz comes to the resort every Friday morning at 11am. They have all types of fish, shrimp, oysters and lobsters for sale.
Driving Directions to Misiones Del Cabo: From the airport, go to San Jose Del Cabo and then take the highway to Cabo San Lucas. It's about a 40 minute ride from the airport. When entering into Cabo, you will need to get on the secondary road. After you pass Home Depot and you go up the overpass, you are going to make a left at the top of the overpass. Go back down the overpass heading back towards San Jose. Take your first right at the bottom of the overpass. There are signs for "Sunset De Mona Lisa" and "Sunrock Resort". Follow the paved road to the bottom of the hill and you will enter into Misiones Del Cabo.
