If you are staying in Cabo San Lucas, there are several options. Cabo has Wal-Mart, Costco, CityClub and La Comer. The La Comer in Cabo is not near hotels and you would definetly need a car or take the bus. It is located on the road going towards Todos Santos.
If you are staying in downtown Cabo, you can most likely hop on the white bus for 20 pesos and get to Wal-mart or Costco. Wal-Mart is located in Plaza San Lucas. Costco is located about a mile away. (If you are not a member of Costco, check out my previous post on how to get a membership in Mexico cheaper than in the United States.) If you are only staying a week or less in Mexico, you may not want to go to CityClub or Costco since everything is bulk. They have the same products as in the United States.
There are lots of "Mercados" around Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo that are mini supermarkets. The prices are sometimes more expensive. If you are looking for a particular item, these mercados sometimes have what you are looking for. Some Mercados carry more brands from the United States than the box stores.
If you are staying in the Corridor, you will need to either drive into Cabo San Lucas or San Jose Del Cabo. There is not much along the Corridor besides a gas station. If you don't have a car, there is a city bus that you can take either direction to either town.
If you are looking to shop where the local Mexicans shop, there is Chedraui and Soriano's. These grocery stores are located in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. They are not located near the tourist section of either town so you will need a car or take the bus to these stores.
