For instance, if you are staying at the Rui Sante Fe, you will need to cross the main highway and stand by the Modelo Beer Distributor if you are wanting to go to Wal-Mart or downtown Cabo. If you stand at the main entrance to the Rui Sante Fe, you will be taking the bus heading towards the Corridor and it will eventually loop back around to downtown but it will take much longer.
If you are staying in the Corridor, you will have to take the large city bus to get into San Jose Del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas. If you want to go towards San Jose Del Cabo, stand on the ocean side of the road. If you want to go towards Cabo San Lucas, stand on the mountain side of the road.
If you are in the Hotel Zone of San Jose Del Cabo, you can get on the small white and green buses to go to downtown San Jose Del Cabo. If you are wanting to go to Cabo San Lucas you will need to get on the small white and green bus and take it to the main highway (Transpenisular Highway) and then get on the large city bus. Make sure you stand on the mountain side of the road.
There is no set rate for fares on riding the buses. Each ride will probably be between 20 pesos to 50 pesos per rider. If you don't speak Spanish and you look like a tourist, be prepared to be charged a higher rate.
