Lakshmi Vanessa Mada, director of Flora Farms Summer Camp, has lots of activities planned for the children. She will be teaching the children about life on the farm, how to harvest and prepare their own lunch, arts and crafts from recycled materials, yoga, planting their own basil and watching it grow, feeding animals on the farm and how to care for the animals, nature walks, and playing water games. Flora Farms Summer Camps accepts 10 children for each camp so that the group of campers become close friends. Every child will feel like they are apart of the farm in helping out. The overnight camping will include an outdoor movie under the stars, learning how to prepare a safe campfire and smores. Flora Farms has 8 rescue dogs on site and turtles. All the dogs are very friendly. Their livestock is located in nearby Santa Anita. They will be bringing chickens, goats, rabbits and pigs from their nearby farm so the children can learn what the animals eat and how to care for the animals. Children can get up close and personal with these animals.
This year Flora Farms is offering transportation for campers whom are enrolled weekly. They can pick-up your child at 8am at The Market by Flora Farms in San Jose Del Cabo and they will bring your child back at 2:30pm.
